Chueca neighborhood, in Christmas, is illuminated with color streamers, which come from different places, snaking over the streets at the whim of the wind, and building spaces and environments from the joy of the light. Each one acts as a claim that attracts and leads the walker to the heart of the neighborhood, the square in which all of them meet and entwine like a cheerful and spectacular multicolored knot. Again, surprise act as main purpose of the installation, in this case advanced by single streamers in each street around square.
Serpentinas is an ephemeral and conciliatory proposal, a transitional system of decoration whose object is to generate urban articulation with simple tools: light and color. But far from decorating the Christmas with the repetition of tiny motifs, more or less evocative, streamers are a motif in itself, formed from a simple set of led curtains of 1.6m high, beats the scale of the filigree of the trim to reach the real size of the city, acting as an element of cohesion between the different streets, uses, visions, and habitants.
